JOANNE BARNDT is a graduate of the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University (1970) and has been on the faculty since 1989. She has substantial experience in child welfare, clinical and health care settings, and currentl y is responsible for undergraduate and graduate field placements in child and youth agencies. Her primary areas of interest are services to children 0-5, self-esteem in children, adoptions, child abuse and neglect (physical, sexual, emotional), medical et hics, quality of life issues and the history of social work. She has served on the boards of the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, Parents Anonymous, and the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County, and is a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (NASW).
