Summer Bridge

Intimately-sized study groups are available for those who need to polish off their knowledge of a subject, or simply to verify a firm grasp of the material. The study group leaders are well-equipped to handle almost any problem from first year classes.

All new freshmen and entry-level transfer students are invited to join a peer mentoring group for their first year. Peer mentoring groups will meet about once per week will consist of 6-8 students with similar interests, led by an upper-class peer mentor. Peer mentors will coach students on problem-solving techniques, study tips, and general keys to success in campus life. Academic activities, professional explorations, and social events will be planned. Peer mentoring groups will work with the peer mentoring groups formed in the Engineering & Computer Science Residence, but students not living in the Residence are also welcome and encouraged to join a peer group.

How to Join

All new freshmen and entry-level transfer students are eligible. After receiving admission into the College, you will be invited to a course registration session, at which time you will have the opportunity to register for a peer mentoring group.
