North Anna River, VA
Here are some photographs taken of the Union pontoon bridge that crossed the North Anna River at Jericho Mills, VA. All of them were taken on 24 May 1864, the day after Joshua Ingalls was wounded south of the river and Union forces retreated to the north. He was found on the battlefield and probably carried back north across this bridge the very day these photographs were taken.
